KEE Limousine purchases I’ll Drive, Inc.

KEE Limousine, owned and operated by KEE Enterprises, Inc., purchased I’ll Drive Inc. creating one of the largest limousine companies in Litchfield County. This New Milford based company has a fleet of 14 vehicles comprised of luxury sedans, vans, and stretch limousines. Whether you’re going to an airport, a prom, the casino, getting married, or just looking for a special night out, KEE Limousine has the vehicle and professional chauffeur to meet your every need.

Kirk Englund grew up in Sherman, and graduated from New Milford High School in 1983. After receiving his BS in Business from The King’s College, Kirk started KEE Enterprises, Inc. in June of 1987. For the past 20 years, Kirk and his team has been servicing the general public, businesses, and many private schools in the greater New Milford area. Currently, Kirk resides with his wife Kathy, and their 2 girls in Brookfield, CT.

Norton Colepaugh, started I’ll Drive, Inc. in 1982. Norton was in the Navy, an excavator, a long distance truck driver for General Electric, and a chauffeur for Kero Sun in Kent before starting I’ll Drive.

Kirk and Norton have known each other from the “early days”. Many times over the last 2 decades, each other’s company was there to help fill in for the other. Kirk and Norton also worked closely together, in representing the New Milford area to the CT Department of Transportation, as they protected the New Milford area from illegal operators. Over the past 5 years, they talked over the “what ifs” of merging the 2 companies. It was during these times and subsequent meetings that a relationship of mutual trust and respect formed. When Norton decided to retire last year, he talked with several owners from around the state, but the transfer of I’ll Drive over to Kirk and KEE Limousine was still the obvious choice. Norton knew he could “go fishing” and trust that Kirk would care for both his customers and employees.

In this purchase, Kirk obtained the rights to the “I’ll Drive” name and their unique “1-800-I’LL DRIV” phone number. As both companies merged into one, there were changes, but many things remained the same. Not only were the I’ll Drive offices and equipment were moved down the road into KEE Limousine’s office at 44 Old State Rd., but their main number (354-1712), the second line (350-2169), and “800-ILL-DRIV” have also made the move. For your convenience, there are now 5 different telephone lines to assist you in reaching the KEE office staff.
